Hip flexibility and strength

Facts!Opening the hips is important, but so is correct centring. At a physical level, the hips and hip joint reflect the balance between yin and yang. For example, the hip is the link that allows us to walk, balancing the movement of our legs and connecting them. This is why a lack of mobility in the hips can create problems in the knees as well as causing back pain. In this yoga session we use spirituality to sense our hip, and accept the sensations that are created. We strengthen the muscles around our pelvis (stone) to give it the rootedness and stability (earth) that it needs and that we also need to master our life with lightness (air). The session is sure to get you sweating, but your endurance (water) may allow you to achieve something new. Try to peacefully allow the change.

Facts!Have you ever felt completely alone in the world? That there’s nobody who really understands you? Does it feel like you’ve lost your connection with yourself, others and trust in the world? “Malas” are the veils that obscure our view of the world. Maiya Mala is one of these veils, and gives us the feeling of being separated from others and disconnected. Through Maiya Mala we start comparing ourselves to others, seeing them as competition, a danger or even an enemy. The emotion of jealousy or the feeling of needing to deal with our problems all on our own is the result. At the same time, Maiya Mala is also the force driving us to discover the world – letting us feel our own beauty and power through others. We experience this in moments where we feel particularly loved.

In these yoga classes we work to understand Maiya Mala, to cultivate it and use it as the driving force of our development instead of losing ourselves in it. You learn to become more aware of your connection with the world around you. And yes, that does mean being allowed to be vulnerable, but also experiencing the love of something new.

Cataleya Fay sings with a voice that will really get under your skin, about nature, mother earth, freedom and peace, as well as individuality, our society, courage, happiness and love. She manages all this without false sentimentality or a moralizing undertone. Instead she simply opens her heart to let the audience hear, feel and see her vision. The deep, emotional lyrics are the opposite of cynical – something that we don’t hear every day.

Facts!Once again this year, Shakti, one of the pioneers of SUP yoga in the German-speaking areas, inspires us with his experience on the water. The various asanas (yoga poses) and pranayamas (breathing techniques) are performed standing, lying or sitting on a SUP board. Yoga exercises that are easy on a normal yoga mat can be a completely new experience and challenge when done on a SUP board. Despite this, SUP yoga can be practised by anyone, even if they have no prior experience or are not particularly sporty or flexible. Prerequisites: Enjoyment of being on and in the water. As always with yoga, it’s less important what it looks like or what acrobatic performances are possible and more about experiencing what it feels like to move within your capabilities in the situation, sense the limitations and feel comfortable with yourself. That’s why it’s important to understand the language of our body and increase our awareness so that we carefully go through life “with ourselves.” In this keynote presentation, Martina Egger talks about the approaches of two ancient healing systems – traditional Chinese medicine and yoga! The main focus of this keynote presentation is to make us aware of the effect that a rapid pace of life has on our health. We are almost constantly on the move and our system doesn’t get to relax – the consequence is stress on a cellular level. This leads to a lack of cell communication, digestive problems, sleep disorders, a state of exhaustion, depression, difficulties conceiving a child & chronic symptoms. This keynote presentation discusses and explains in an easily understood manner how we can holistically avoid this automation and what this has to do with our yoga practice.

Facts!Once again this year, Shakti, one of the pioneers of SUP yoga in the German-speaking areas, inspires us with his experience on the water. The various asanas (yoga poses) and pranayamas (breathing techniques) are performed standing, lying or sitting on a SUP board. Yoga exercises that are easy on a normal yoga mat can be a completely new experience and challenge when done on a SUP board. Despite this, SUP yoga can be practised by anyone, even if they have no prior experience or are not particularly sporty or flexible. Prerequisites: Enjoyment of being on and in the water. As always with yoga, it’s less important what it looks like or what acrobatic performances are possible and more about experiencing what it feels like to move within your capabilities in the situation, sense the limitations and feel comfortable with yourself. What makes SUP Yoga special is also its connection with nature, the calming effect of water, the gentle rocking of the waves, fresh air and the beauty of the natural surroundings. Facts!The platform at Brentenjoch in the Kaiser Mountains is one of the most beautiful places to do yoga. At an airy height of 1,200 meters we will obviously focus on the element of air (Vayu). Everything in the universe arises from the interaction of the five elements (Maha Bhutas) earth, fire, water, air and ether. Vayu means wind. The wind is invisible, but can still be sensed. We hear the wind, see how it bends branches, and feel its cool flow of air. All these sensations can be intensively experienced at this special power place. In light of this we will focus on our breathing and Prana, the vital energy that accompanies breath. Breath is the bridge between body and soul.

Pranayama exercises let us consciously experience our breathing. On a subtle, ethereal level we will engage with the Vayus (internal energy flows) and the asana practice will be specifically tailored to this topic with heart-opening and liberating exercises.

Facts!Anandansa® combines western dance with eastern yoga. It also combines the modern biomechanics of Spirlaldynamik®, fascia research and contemporary yoga. It offers the opportunity to develop your experience of organic movement and inner expression. Exercises that are guided, sometimes more and sometimes less, let you strengthen your connection with your inner, creative personality. A clear awareness of our creative vitality is the basis for deep satisfaction, which in Sanskrit is called “ananda.” That’s where the name of this method comes from: Anandansa®.

In this course we will:
• Create an atmosphere that opens access to our creative self,
• Receive the guidance we need to find freedom in movement,
• Explore the dynamic connection between breathing, body and movement (“Pranifikation”),
• Roll up our mats and move bravely through the space,
